It’s normal to have questions before reaching out. Here are answers to some of the most common ones. If you don’t see yours, please get in touch.

What happens during the first session?

The first session is simply a chance to get to know each other. Julie will listen to what brought you in, answer your questions, and you’ll begin to explore your goals together. There is no pressure — it’s a relaxed, confidential conversation at your pace.

How long are sessions?

Sessions typically last about 50 minutes. Frequency is tailored to your needs — many clients begin weekly and adjust over time.

Do you work with children and teenagers?

Yes. Julie has decades of experience connecting with kids and teens in a way that helps them feel comfortable, respected, and genuinely heard.

Do you see couples and families?

Absolutely. Julie offers individual, couples, and family counseling, helping people reconnect, communicate better, and move forward together.

Is therapy confidential?

Yes. What you share is private and protected. Julie maintains strict confidentiality in accordance with professional and legal standards, with only the limited exceptions required by law (such as risk of harm).

Do you offer evening or weekend appointments?

Yes. Life doesn’t always fit business hours. Julie offers evening appointments until 8:00 PM and weekend appointments by request to accommodate work, school, and family schedules.

Do you offer telehealth?

Please reach out to discuss whether in-person or secure video sessions are the best fit for you.

How do I get started?

Simply call, email, or fill out the contact form. Julie will get back to you to answer questions and find an appointment time that works for you.
